Privacy Policy

For us at Airparts Switzerland the protection of your personal data is very important. Whenever you contact us, we necessarily process some of your personal data. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, no social media pixels and no third-party scripts. Nothing is stored on your device, and nothing about your visit is shared with anyone.

The only personal data we receive is what you choose to type into the contact form:

• Name — so we know who we are replying to
• Email address — so we can reply
• Your message — whatever you tell us about your enquiry

When the form is submitted, our web server additionally records the technical data every web server records: your IP address, the time of the request, and your browser's user-agent string. We use this only to operate the site and to limit automated abuse of the form.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We process this data solely to answer your enquiry and, where it leads to one, to carry out the resulting business relationship. Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our legal bases are:

• Steps prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) — you asked us for a quotation, sample or specification.
• Our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — in replying to correspondence addressed to us, and in protecting the form from automated abuse.

We do not use your data for marketing, we do not build profiles, and we take no automated decisions about you.

4. Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. It is seen by:

• Us — the people at Airparts who handle enquiries.
• Our hosting provider, METANET AG (Switzerland), which operates the server this site runs on and transmits the form email. They act as our processor and are bound to process the data only on our instructions. Our domain is registered through hosttech GmbH (Switzerland), which operates no part of this website.
• Cloudflare, for spam protection on the contact form — see the next section.

Enquiry data is stored and processed in Switzerland. The single exception is the spam check described below, which may be processed outside Switzerland.

5. Spam protection on the contact form

Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. Without it the form is abused by automated scripts, which buries real enquiries.

When the contact page loads, your browser contacts Cloudflare. Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device, and uses it to judge whether the request comes from a person or from a script. This may involve processing in countries outside Switzerland. We never receive this technical data ourselves — only the yes-or-no result.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 31 para. 1 revFADP; Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in keeping the form usable and protecting our systems from abuse. Cloudflare's own privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Alongside this we apply our own checks on the server — how quickly the form was returned, and whether the message matches known spam patterns. These run entirely on our Swiss server and involve no third party. A blocked submission is recorded with its IP address for up to 30 days so we can tell genuine failures from abuse.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is retained for 24 months from our last exchange with you, after which it is deleted — unless it has become part of a commercial record we are legally required to keep for longer (Swiss commercial law generally requires business records to be retained for ten years). Server log data is kept for a maximum of six months.

7. Your rights

You can, at any time and free of charge, ask us to:

• tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy of it
• correct anything that is inaccurate
• delete your data
• restrict how we use it, or object to our using it
• hand your data to you, or to someone else, in a portable format

Write to contact@airparts.ch and we will respond within 30 days. You will not be disadvantaged in any way for exercising these rights.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, CH-3003 Bern. If you are in the EU or EEA, you may instead complain to your national supervisory authority.

8. Security

This site is served over HTTPS, so everything you send us is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are rate-limited and screened for automated abuse. Access to enquiry correspondence is limited to the people who need it to do their work.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
